Stunning 360deg view with the majestic Sentinels of Mts Shinn, Tyree, Epperly and Gardner dominating the vista. Minus 35ºC temperature but only light winds made it a perfect summit day.

21st November - KMF 2009 was fantastic this year despite the rain and flooding which affected most of Cumbria. With a great line-up of films, lectures and a slamming Saturday Night Party, with me making a cameo appearance on the wheels of steel. Cheers to fellow Dj's Stu "The Farmer" Millar and Matt Sharman and also to everyone who worked at and visited the Festival over the weekend. Finally thanks to Henry for the photo www.henryiddon.com. If you missed it this year-see you next year.

15th November - I've left the snow behind in Chamonix- there has been quite a few people out and about getting some early doors touring on their skis. However, I'm in the UK, on my way to the Kendal Mountain Festival, THE Tribal Gathering of the year for mountain enthusiasts and it's kicking off in less than 3 days. I'll be there heading up the presenting team with my colleague and fellow mountain guide Andy Perkins. There's a superb line-up of films, lectures, literary events etc - that it will be difficult to see everything - check out my twitter for some of my recommendations of what to look out for. If you see me there, come and say hello.
