Cutting through the heart of the European Alps, the Chamonix to Zermatt Haute Route is one of the world’s finest ski mountaineering adventures. It is continuously interesting, crossing many high passes, several glaciers and ascending peaks where appropriate, so as to provide you with as much downhill skiing as possible and lots of opportunities to savour the superb views. We will be staying in spectacularly situated mountain huts, where we will enjoy simple, but comfortable accommodation and good food.
This year we are offering 2 options. Our Chamonix to Zermatt 9-day itinerary allows us more flexibility and greatly increases our chance of success if we encounter bad weather. Also, there is our popular 6-day Verbier to Zermatt version for those who would like to enjoy the best of what the Alps has to offer in only 1 week’s holiday. These are both physically demanding itineraries, suitable for those who can ski black runs comfortably and who already have some off-piste experience.
