Many facets of our skill set came into play during the filming of James Bond "Die Another Day", from our expertise in sea/lake ice operations to ice climbing for anchoring cables on this SFX ballistics scene.

film & tv...

As an IFMGA International Mountain Guide, I have provided safety and logistical support to film and television production companies.  This can involve project advice as to suitable locations for shooting, reconnaissance work, pre-shooting logistics and ‘on shoot’ support either as a coordinator or in the field, for example, providing technical rigging expertise and advice for Crew and Cast or specific secondment with SFX and Stunt Units.  I understand the special constraints that face different types of filmmaking in adverse conditions, whether it is HD video or film from 16mm to IMAX®.

I have worked professionally in the high mountains and polar regions of the world for 30 years, so you can be assured that my involvement with your next project is based on extensive experience, both with your requirements as a production company but also in the environment in which you wish to operate in.  Please contact me to discuss how I can assist you in your forthcoming project.

Some of this work I carry out independently, but also with Poles Apart, a specialist production support company. Poles Apart provides total support to film productions wanting to work in the most extreme environments of the world.
